Arriving in Bangkok as two Thailand virgins, we were blown away with how friendly and welcoming the staff at the hotel were. It's always great when you arrive at a hotel and it is EXACTLY as its pictured, and even more impressive in reality! The bed in our Ying Hua room was so large you could fit about 4 people in it! China town is an interesting place to stay, with delicious street food and night markets right outside the hotel.

This hotel is beautiful from the entrance to the rooms themselves. The staff were very professional and helpful, the hotel also has a fabulous smell of ginger in it. The room was beautifully decorated, it was a good size and very comfortable. The bar was busy and they even had live music the night I was there. The door staff were very helpful flagging down a tuk tuk. A very nice hotel I would recommend.

Very friendly staff who will go out there way to help and most talk very good English. Rooms very comfortable and spacious. Entertainment was very chilling. Only 1 bad note and that was that the bar closed at 11pm.

I have visited Bangkok many times, and this was my first visit to Chinatown. The place is crazy with locals looking for good, inexpensive food--and I find that fun. The hotel is very clean and has Shanghai interior decorations. I like boutique hotels, and this one is very good. I did not give it 5 stars because it is not close to an MTR station. If you plan to spend most of your time in Chinatown, I highly recommend Shanghai Mansion.

Our family of four arrived after flying all night just after 9am. The hotel had arranged our transport from the airport and it worked perfectly. We were worried we might not be able to be checked, but the staff handled it perfectly. We got rooms and stowed our baggage. The rooms were large, super clean with great bathrooms. The room have a cool, modern vibe and design. WiFI worked perfectly all the time- very important nowadays.

Silk robes, gorgeous lanterns, live jazz, humongous bed, beautiful hotel. So glad we found this gem in Chinatown. The hotel smells very nice too, lovely touches wherever you look, art work, wall paper, lovely seats & chairs everywhere. Staff helpful and friendly. Great street food right out the front of the hotel. Tuk tuk & taxi right out the front. Our first experience of Bangkok was excellent.
